Meet Our Founder

Silas Monroe, the Chief Editor and Owner of Anngetty, has always been drawn to spaces that tell a story. After earning his Bachelor’s in Interior Architecture and Sustainable Design, he worked with small design studios in Portland, where he helped homeowners bring life and balance into their everyday spaces.

Silas’s years of experience taught him that great design doesn’t need to be expensive or complicated, it just needs heart, creativity, and a willingness to try.

How Anngetty Began

The idea for Anngetty took shape during Silas’s early years as an interior architecture graduate. While working on residential projects, he realized that most homeowners loved the idea of design but often felt disconnected from it. They wanted warm, personal spaces, not just perfectly styled rooms.

That thought stayed with him long after work hours. On weekends, Silas would visit old neighborhoods, sketch houses, and imagine how small changes like a new color palette, a bit of reclaimed wood, or a well-placed garden corner could completely change the feeling of a space.

It was during those quiet projects that he understood what design truly meant to him: not grand blueprints or expensive makeovers, but everyday creativity, the kind that turns a house into a reflection of the people who live there.

From that idea, Anngetty grew into a space created to share design knowledge in a way that feels real, useful, and full of heart.
